Stress Buster: Meditation can lower the amount of stress hormones in your body, making you feel more relaxed and less worried. These hormones, like cortisol, go down when you meditate. This helps your body feel calm and healthy.

Cool as a Cucumber: Mindfulness can help you stay calm under pressure, like during a big test or a sports game. When you focus on the present moment, you don't worry as much about what might happen next. This makes it easier to stay calm and do your best. Athletes often use mindfulness to improve their performance and stay focused.

Craft Ideas to Make With Mindfulness Coloring Pages

Turn those uplifting messages into fun, creative pursuits that bring a sense of peace and fulfillment to kids and adults alike!

Explore our 12 creative activities that promote mindfulness and meditation below.

    1. Poetic Palette

Art and poetry can be powerful tools of inspiration and cooperation in a classroom community.

Choose a coloring page that complements the theme of your chosen poem or quote, filling it with shades that match the mood you want to represent.

Carefully mount the page onto high-quality paper or a backing board to keep it flat.

Write your poem or inspirational quote on translucent paper and staple it to the top of your design.

Display the artwork on classroom bulletin boards or at home to inspire daily reflections.

    2. Clicks of Calm

Promote a peaceful working environment by crafting a mouse mat using your mindfulness coloring pages.

Print a design or quote that promotes productivity and calm at 75% scale and color in.

Laminate for durability and smooth mouse movement.

Attach non-slip furniture pads (easily found online or in local DIY stores) to the bottom.

Place in your office or bedroom for a personalized pad,.

    3. Soothing Sounds

Encourage meaningful mindfulness practices by creating a calming musical shaker.

After coloring, cut your designs to fit around small jars or containers with lids. Glue the cutouts around the outside.

Fill each container with beads or rice, adjusting the amount to create the desired sound.

These shakers can be used as part of mindfulness lesson plans, providing a hands-on tool for students to explore sound and rhythm as a form of relaxation.

    4. Peaceful Passages

Design door hangers that serve as gentle nudges towards mindfulness meditation in your daily life.

Choose a coloring sheet that features a calming design and fill it in.

Cut the page into a rectangle and glue it to a piece of cardboard of the same size.

Write a personal reminder on it, such as "Take three deep breaths" or "Step into calm."

Place the hanger on your bedroom door, office, or any space to encourage a quiet and calm atmosphere for mindfulness activities.

    5. Self-Care Squares

Making a mindfulness dice is a fun and interactive way to incorporate inner calm into your daily routine, ideal for kids of all ages and any skill level.

Select designs featuring a variety of patterns and quotes, and color them using vibrant shades.

To turn these flat pages into cubes, download a cube net template online and print it onto cardstock.

Trim and glue parts of your designs onto each face of the net.

Once dry, write a mindfulness activity or affirmation on each side of the cube, such as "List 5 things you're grateful for" or "Practice 2 minutes of deep breathing."

Cut around the net outline and fold along the lines to assemble it into a cube shape. Secure the tabs with glue to hold it together.

Encourage social emotional learning, by using the dice during brain breaks or for early finishers in the classroom.

    6. Balance Bracelets

Create a reminder of peace and positive vibes by making your own jewelry.

Cut three thin strips from your doodle designs, choosing patterns or colors that signify peace and happiness.

Braid these strips together and craft a loop for fastening. Follow this easy paper bracelet video tutorial for step-by-step instructions.

Wear your bracelet as a personal reminder to stay grounded and focused, or gift it to someone as a symbol of support and mindfulness.

    7. Journal of Journeys

Combine the joy of coloring with the therapeutic practice of journaling with this wonderful activity.

Fill in a mindfulness coloring page that resonates with you, focusing on themes of calmness or a growth mindset.

Measure and cut the colored page to fit the cover of your notebook. Glue the design to the front.

This bespoke journal cover is perfect for capturing thoughts, sketches, and reflections, making it an ideal gift for anyone embarking on a new chapter in their life.

    8. Serenity Scrolls

Craft a beautiful piece of decor and focal point for reflection with this unique visual arts project.

Complete a coloring sheet that features a calming design or powerful quote.

Glue craft sticks horizontally across the top and bottom of the sheet. Roll both ends towards the center slightly to create a scroll shape.

Hang the scroll in a personal workspace or meditation area as a visible reminder of your intentions or affirmations.

    9. Optimistic Ornaments

Turn your colored designs into unique and festive decorations for the holidays.

Complete mindfulness quote coloring pages that speak to themes of joy and peace.

Cut the designs into shapes, such as circles, stars, or hearts, and punch a hole at the top for hanging.

On the back, write positive affirmations. Laminate to protect them.

Attach a decorative ribbon or string to each ornament.

Decorate your Christmas tree with your handmade ornaments or gift to a loved one.

    10. Kindness Coins

Spread love and positivity wherever you go with this creative activity.

Color printables that symbolize kindness and compassion.

Cut out small circles from the colored page, each big enough to write a single word or short phrase that inspires acts of kindness.

On the back of each circle, write a message or positive word.

Hand out the coins as small tokens of kindness to friends, family, or even strangers.

    11. Pouches of Positivity

Positivity pouches are a perfect way to carry a reminder of your inner strength.

Choose a coloring page that symbolizes peace or positivity to you. Fill it in using your favorite markers, gel pens, or coloring pencils.

Cut the page into a rectangle (3 x 8 inches) and fold it in half vertically. Glue the left and right sides together, leaving the top open to form the pouch.

Use more of your coloring design to write uplifting messages for yourself or someone on a journey of self-improvement.

    12. Calming Chimes

Create a meditation space with your coloring sheets and the soothing sounds of nature.

Color a design that features patterns or elements of nature, using shades that give a sense of peace and relaxation. (Mandalas work well for this too!)

Cut the page into strips and punch holes in the top and bottom of each strip.

Thread a ribbon through the top and attach a small jingle bell to the bottom.

Make a small hoop out of a metal clothes hanger or wire. Attach the strips to the ring. Add feathers, beads, and charms for extra decoration.

Hang your wind chime on a porch or by a window where it can catch the breeze. Take deep breaths while listening to the relaxing melodies.
